Welcome to the Homepage of Patricia Sadler - Independent Funeral Celebrant
It is my heartfelt belief that everyone who touches this earth, whether for a short while or for a life-time that spans many decades, leaves something behind to be remembered and celebrated. When someone dies they deserve to have a service that celebrates their life and be-ing. I believe a funeral service should be a personal reflection of the life lived.
The death of a loved one is a sad and painful part of life, and confronting death can be a difficult experience. I understand the need to eulogise, honour and pay tribute to a loved one and a well-written funeral service that celebrates the precious life that has gone before can be an important start of the grieving process. A celebration of life rather than a sermon on death can bring comfort and closure.
I feel privileged when I am asked by a bereaved family to prepare and officiate at a service for their loved one. I work with the family to create a personalised funeral service that will honour their loved one’s life in a special way, one that will help bring peace and comfort to those who remain.
Working as an Independent Funeral Celebrant I am not constrained by dogma and belief. I am able to compose a funeral ceremony that tells the story of a loved one with input from family and friends. This enables families to focus on the time they had with their loved one and to show respect to them in death.
